L – XXL Head Circumference (57–62 cm)
Weight: 1580 ± 50 g
The carbon fiber riding police helmet is designed for head protection of mounted police officers. It features an advanced shell constructed from fiberglass and carbon fiber materials. Carbon fiber, produced by high-temperature carbonization and graphitization of precursor materials such as polyacrylonitrile, rayon, and pitch-based fibers, is a high-strength fiber material with a carbon content exceeding 90%. It offers advantages including light weight, high strength, and excellent overall protective performance.
1. Full-face design: Encloses the entire head; the face shield can be opened.
2. Rapid release and locking mechanism for face shield and goggles: The goggles can be flipped up or stored away. One-handed operation allows for easy opening and closing of the goggles.
3. Ventilation openings at the forehead and chin: Provide airflow and breathability. The inner liner and ear pads are removable, washable, and easy to clean.
1. Helmet shell material: Carbon fiber composite.
2. Face shield & goggles: The face shield is made of 2 mm scratch-resistant polycarbonate via injection molding. The goggles are PC material with a light transmittance of not less than 90%.
3. Impact absorption layer: High-density EPS (expanded polystyrene); thickness 31–40 mm. Provides cushioning and effectively absorbs impact energy.
4. Comfort liner: PU foam (foamed sponge) / polyester, thickness 8–12 mm (ear pads 20–40 mm) / 0.5–1.5 mm. Made from non-toxic, skin-friendly materials for comfort, sweat absorption, and breathability.
5. Retention system: Double-layer nylon chin strap with a width of not less than 20 mm, providing sufficient adjustment range to prevent loosening. Equipped with a quick-release buckle that is easy to operate. After wearing, the buckle shows no breakage or disengagement under a tensile force of 100 N ± 5 N and remains fully functional.
6. Helmet field of view: Horizontal field ≥ 105°, upward field ≥ 7°, downward field ≥ 45°.
7. Penetration resistance: A 3 kg steel cone is dropped freely from a height of 3000 mm ± 5 mm. The test is conducted twice, with impact points spaced at least 75 mm apart. The steel cone must not penetrate the helmet.
